Research Master Efraïm
‘Componist en saxofonist Efraïm Trujillo is met zijn album Blue genomineerd voor de Edison Jazzism Publieksprijs 2019. Efraïm nam Blue op met zijn band The Preacher Men als onderdeel van zijn masteronderzoek Into The Blue: Revealing the essence of a musical genre, dat hij uitvoerde aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam en dat met een 9 met onderscheiding werd beloond.
Efraïm Trujillo is saxofonist in verschillende bands (The Preacher Men, The Ploctones, New Cool Collective, Frafra Sound), bandleider (Amsterdam Funk Orchestra) en componist. In het najaar van 2018 besloot hij op 49-jarige leeftijd ‘back to school’ te gaan om aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam masteronderzoek te doen’. (bron: conservatoriumvanamsterdam.nl)
